Something old, something new, something borrowed

Today I discovered a wonderful thing that I was just dying to share with you all.

Imagine a virtual closet where you could swap, rent, borrow, and sell designer and vintage clothing with other people around the world at incredibly reasonable prices. WELL IT EXISTS. AND IT IS AWESOME. What’s even better, and probably my favorite part about the whole thing, is that 10% of whatever someone charges for your purchase or renting of their item goes to a charity of their choice. Fashion and charity combined. What could possibly be better?! I totally suggest that everyone goes and checks this out. You never know what you could find laying around in someone else’s closet.

Hey all you cutiepies xx

It’s been way too long since I’ve posted anything for you. My computer was going through a bit of a rough patch but it’s all fixed up and I feel like I’ll be having a lot more time to work on things now. Phew!

Anything in particular you’d like to hear about? I’m gonna start taking this site in a different direction, include some DIY and general tips etc etc etc. La dee da, have a wonderful day. <3

IMITATION OF CHRIST IS HEAVENLY THIS SPRING

Safe to say that Imitation of Christ’s 2012 spring collection completely blew me away. Even the sheer artistry of the way the apparel was modeled makes me fall totally in love with it all. The collection was set as a wedding collection, but believe me, any of this could be rocked off the alter. It’s high fashion Little House on the Prairie. And it is completely fabulous. The textile work is genius. I especially loved the one shouldered powder blue blazer, which is featured in the top right corner here. I am seriously smitten with Imitation of Christ this spring, and I don’t see how anyone could NOT be!

PRINTY PRINCESS, MARA HOFFMAN
Mara Hoffman is not a household name…YET. But I really think she is onto something with her bold use of prints in every season and collection. The majority of her print work is tribal inspired, which is fabulous. Personally I love tribal print, and basically any print in general. I find it really adds pizazz to what might be a normally “eh” ensemble. I took one piece from her fall collection just to give you guys a brief overview of this fabulous female’s work.
From head to toe, I love all of this. Turbans and head wraps have the potential to be a major trend this fall/winter. The dress perfectly ties in with the colors of the season, with subtle hints of the popular plum and dark teal. She has a various amount of differently colored longsleeved bodycon dresses such as this one. All of her collections can be found on her website, http://www.marahoffman.com.
